Thin Rah is a large airy Maldivian restaurant with its fold-back louvered windows, immense thatched roof with inverted funnels letting in the light and air, and outdoor eating area with sand floor and view of the main pool and lagoon, serving the best of European and Asian cuisine for breakfast and dinner.

As well as the extensive outdoor seating for dining with your feet in the sand, Thin Rah has three open-sided indoor pavilions.

The central buffet area has a contemporary-rustic Indian element, offering Asian grills and Middle Eastern fare ranging from regional curries and wok-fried noodles to couscous.

Flowing into a Mediterranean theme, the rear seating area boasts a spectacular free-standing temperature-controlled wine display holding more than 800 bottles of specially selected wines and champagnes.

Both areas of this Maldives restaurant feature hand-blown glass screen sculptures under the peaked thatched roofs.

Nightly international buffets with live cooking stations offer an array of cuisines: Maldivian, Indian, Indonesian, Japanese, Oriental, Italian and Continental European.

The breakfast buffets are a delight in their size and variety, with eggs, omelettes, pancakes and waffles freshly cooked to order, and a daily selection of more than 15 different breads and pastries.
